Please meet our gardener, A Teng.

A Teng started working in 'Rumah Kita' as a gardener in 1990. He lives with his wife and two kids in the village of Kalibukbuk. A Teng often arrives at 7AM and relieves the nightguard(s). Except for his lunch break, he can be found in the garden all day, and like Jan he has one day off a week. He hardly speaks any English and does not feel the need to learn it. He lovingly cares for the garden, does maintenance work and is always prepared to run an errand for you! Every day, A Teng will come and tell you when he is about to go home. He loves people helping in the garden and he follows good advice where possible. Should you see a nice tree or flowering plant in one of the nurseries in the area, feel free to buy it. A Teng will be overjoyed!
