The rental prices include one hot, excellent Indonesian evening meal a day. Every day early in the morning our cook goes to the market to buy fresh vegetables and fruit, which are brought to Rumah Kita by car every evening to be further prepared.
Of course you can let us know if for example you do not eat meat, but remember the meal is a service to our guests. It will not be possible to choose what you want to eat. But don't be worried, the food is always delicious and extremely varied. And for the children there will always be food that is not 'pedis' ('hot'). In the mornings a modest breakfast of e.g. 'pisang goreng' (fried bananas) will be served.
When you arrive in our houses you will find large containers with drinking water there and some fridges may contain food or beverages. It you make use of the drinking water or the content of the fridge it will be charged separately at the end of your stay. |
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. RESERVATION
If you decide to rent one of the houses, we ask that you fill out the reservation form.
We will let you know as soon as possible through e-mail, whether the house of your choice is still available for the period you requested. If that is the case, we will send you a booking form by fax or regular mail, which should be returned to us (by fax or mail) with your signature.
Before you fill out the reservation form, please properly read the cancellation conditions further down this page.
2. PAYMENT
After we have received the signed booking form you will promptly receive a written confirmation of the reservation c.q. invoice. Fifty percent of the total rental costs should be transferred to us within ten days after receiving our written confirmation. At least eight weeks before the beginning of the rental period we should have received the full amount. Both amounts are to be transferred to:

After the bank has received the full amount, you will receive the final rental agreement as client. If the deposit or the final payment has not been made before the appropriate deadline, we have the right to cancel the reservation. Monies already received will not be refunded in this case. |

3. CANCELLATION CONDITIONS
The cancellation conditions are as follows: cancellation has to come in writing by the client. Up until ten days after the reservation has been confirmed cancellation is free. Between ten days after the date of confirmation and eight weeks before the beginning of the rental period, you will be charged with fifty percent of the full amount. If the reservation is cancelled less than eight weeks before the beginning of the rental period, you will be charged with the full amount.
We have to be strict about these conditions. Reservations in Rumah Kita are made long in advance and since we are not a commercial holiday resort, short-term cancellation would mean a huge financial setback from which it is hardly possible to recover in Bali. For experience has taught us it is impossible to find new tenants for the houses within eight weeks. By filling out the booking form, signing it and returning it to us, you agree to go along with these conditions.
It is important for you to know that a cancellation insurance has to be arranged within seven days after booking your holiday accommodation. After that it is no longer possible. It is of course up to you if you want to cover this cancellation risk. You will have to take out this insurance yourself with your own insurance company. |
